The bus was travelling the scheduled route between Quesnel and Prince George, carrying one passenger

A Northern Health transportation vehicle crashed in the evening of Thursday, Jan. 4.

Neither occupant received life-threatening injuries, but the driver of the bus was taken to hospital.

According to a Northern Health Facebook post, the bus was making its regular run between Prince George and Quesnel and crashed around 15 km north of Quesnel.

Arrangements are being made to safely recover the disabled coach on Wednesday, January 6, the post reads. No service disruptions are expected as a result of the incident, with the next scheduled Prince George-Quesnel route set for Tuesday, January 12, 2021.

Northern Healths post guesses the crash was weather related.

The bus is part of Northern Health Connections, a transportation program aimed at giving older or low mobility passengers another option for travelling to regional hospitals for more care.
